Kids say the funniest things!

Sometimes Austin says stuff that makes Justin and I just look at each other and laugh. Here is what happened last night:

Austin walks up and shakes Justin's hand:
A: Hi, I'm Austin. What's your name?
J: Hi Austin, I'm Justin.
A: Hi Justin, nice to meet you.

I did it!

Saturday morning I picked up my sister and we headed to Costco, Haggens & Cash and Carry. I realized on my way home that I forgot a couple things so we made a quick stop at Red Apple too. I was too exhausted (lazy) to do any cooking Saturday....grocery shopping for 1/2 a day takes a lot out of you.

Sunday afternoon, probably around 1:00 I started cooking and I think I was done by 4:30. I didn't make the Smothered Meatloaf as I mentioned in my previous posting...that just didn't sound appetizing anymore, instead I made manicotti....yum!

Meal Plan

One of my goals for 2010 is to be more organized and more domestic! So far I am not doing for well in either catergory but that will all change this weekend. I have our dinners planned for Monday night through Saturday night. Ideally I would love to just be in the kitchen all day Sunday and make all my dinners for the week and be done with it. I hate that I have to be away from Austin so much of the day so I am hoping to stick with this because it gives us more time as a family to be together. So this week my menu is this:

Cashew Chicken
Chicken Alfredo
Creamy Mac & Cheese
Smothered Meatloaf
Taco Soup
Tator tot Casserole

I will be sure to post pictures of my cooking weekend.....I just realized I don't have an apron...that will be the 1st item I need to buy!

Day 2

So here I am day 2 of blogging, aren't you proud Crystal?!?!

On January 16th Justin & I went down to Seattle for Ivie's 30th birthday party with her friends. Larry & Jeff tagged along and then we picked up Holly on our way too. Those boys sure made the ride interesting. This picture is from that night and I die laughing everytime I see it...I can post it here because Larry doesn't read my blog I am sure.

Here are some more pictures from that night:

And of course I had to throw in a couple of my cute kid!

It's been a while....

So I have been “encouraged” to update my blog…so I’ll attempt blogging…again. I feel like blogging is boring without pictures and when I do want to update my blog I am usually at work and I don’t have my pictures with me, but I will try!
The other day I was looking at my blog and realized how much I miss taking Austin’s daily picture. It is really fun to look back exactly 1 year ago and see what he looked like. I think I’ll try and do a daily picture again…oh, but that means I need to get my camera fixed first. The stupid camera is seriously about ready to fall apart completely.
Yesterday (26th) was Austin’s 1 year anniversary of walking. Crazy to think he has only been walking for 1 year and now he runs everywhere!
I have 107 days until baby girl arrives. Sounds like a long time but when you say 3.5 months (c-section planned for May 15th) that doesn’t sound long at all. We still have so much to do it is almost overwhelming. Justin is going riding with his friends this weekend so I hope to be able to organize Austin’s room and baby girl’s room. I’ll post pictures when I am done. I think Austin is catching on that he is having a sister, I know he doesn’t understand completely. The other day he picked up a pair of purple pants I bought for the baby and brought them to me and said “sissy”.
I found a picture…this is our new must have while grocery shopping!

What to blog about???

Ok, I will attempt again to start blogging! I will not be posting daily pictures of Austin because that just didn't last very long, but don't worry that kid gets his picture taken more than anyone I know.

I just got back from Tulsa last night and of course Austin was sleeping when I got home. It was very tempting to wake him up but I was exhausted after flying all day and being up since 6:00 am. Austin did wake up around 6:15 this morning and I figured he would be excited to see me...but no...he just kept asking for his stupid paci that fell out his bed. I was a little sad that he wasn't that excited to see me but he made up for it when I saw him at lunch! I walked in the door and he yelled MAMA!!! He was so happy to see me, he kept giving me kisses and wanted me to sit on the couch and cuddle with him! I love that boy!

We have our 1st baby appointment October 16th. This pregnancy is already feeling different to me...but not in a good way. I am very thankful I have had no morning sickness...only a bit of nausea. I am only 6 weeks but I can tell I am pregnant....plus I have MAJOR hormones, so if I am a bit rude or short with you please don't take it personally, don't worry Justin's already been warned!
